Zen

This dog has the patience of a nun. Good thing, too. (Yes, he is pulling her ear).

Dear Baby, you win.

I know, I am two days overdue with Drew's 11 month post, but when Drew naps these days, I nap too. This post is coming to you courtesy of the blogspot app on my iPhone and is being written from my bed.

Pregnancy with Drew was EASY. No real first trimester symptoms to speak of, outside of exhaustion. Not so with Peanut. I am still exhausted, and that is not helped by the fact that I get up to go to the bathroom AT LEAST two times a night. Don't remember that starting so early. I also have the super-nose everyone always speaks of. Rob has come to bed two nights smelling of nutmeg. We couldn't figure it out, except that he had used some Vicks Vaporub those nights. The Google told us that an inactive ingredient in Vicks is nutmeg oil. Of course it us.

And the nausea- oh the nausea! It's like morning and evening sickness. Lunch, somehow, is usually spared. My favorite foods right now are bland and carb-y: dry toast, oatmeal, dry cheerios.... You get the idea.

I will be so excited when we hit the second trimester. I am HUNGRY!! :)

Rough week!!

8 days ago Drew and I attended a MOPs event at a local church where he was in the nursery. By the following Monday, he was snotty and had green goop coming from his eyes. We went to visit the doctor- pink eye.

Things got a bit better Tuesday and Wednesday, but he still wasn't close to 100%. He wasn't eating at all. Thursday night we put him to bed and he woke up one hour later SCREAMING. He would not go back down. He woke up almost every hour that night. And had a fever on Friday morning.

Friday I decided to take him to the doctor. I know we would be in big trouble if he kept getting worse over the weekend. Sure enough, all the congestion was starting an ear infection. Another prescription.

About an hour ago Rob and I were at lunch and he says "Lindsey, Drew has another tooth on the bottom. And it is already through!" Sometime in the last 48 hours he sprouted a new tooth.

Did he really have pink eye or an ear infection? Was some of this teething? Either way, this has been a rough week!
